Brief Description:  Flaps #8

Started the day off by match drilling the new left flap bottom skin and spar. The first left flap bottom skin was countersunk by accident...so I ordered new parts, including the spar after I messed that up. The spar was properly countersunk, and the dimpled along with the bottom skin.

After deburring, the parts were scotchbrited, cleaned, and primed.

Before I clecoed on the top skin, I riveted the ribs to the bottom skin. It is much easier doing it this way instead of unnecessarily jamming your hand inside to do the bucking on both sides.

Once the ribs were riveted, the top skin was clecoed, and the top skin was riveted to the ribs. Once that was done, the end ribs were riveted in place and flush pop rivets were used on the trailing edge. I also had to add a flush pop rivet to the bottom skin where the nutplate sits as it is too close to buck.

The spar was clecoed in place and the flap hinge was riveted to the flap. The flap is nice and flat. I'll rivet the top skin to the spar later this weekend.
